McDonald's McVeggie Burger Menu Price

Being a vegetarian myself, I know the pain of finding good veggie burgers in the market. Maybe this is because most of the restaurants focus on chicken, cheese, and beef burgers, and nobody gives much thought to putting much effort into the veggie burgers. However, McDonald’s treats its veggie burgers the same way it showers its lavish attention to all its other alternatives.

This is the reason why I usually find myself going back for the McVeggie Burger. It is my absolute favorite thing on their menu, especially because the veggie pattie is so crispy and delicious. I get all the nutritional content from a single McVeggie Burger from McDonald’s.

McVeggie Burger Recipe

Ingredients Required

  • Fresh Burger Buns
  • Lettuce Leaves
  • Shredded Celery/Cabbage
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sliced Tomatoes
  • Slices of American Cheese if you like
  • Boiled Potatoes
  • Cooked Peas
  • Chopped Carrots
  • Chopped Onions
  • Crushed Garlic
  • Thick Poha/Aval
  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt and Water
  • Spices

Cooking Directions

Step # 01: First of all, you need to wash and soak Poha in normal water. It will soften up so that you can easily crush it and squeeze the extra water out of it until it feels like dough in your hands. Now, simply put it in a small bowl and cover it up.

Step # 02: In the meantime, you need to cook the vegetables. So, for that, simply pressure cook the potatoes and then mash them after peeling off their skin. On the side, cook the peas and chop the carrots and onions. You must also keep the carrots in hot water for some time before you use them.

Step # 03: Now, take a pan, put some oil in it, and then turn the flame to medium heat. Fry the onions and garlic until they turn transparent in color. After that, add the carrots to the mix and stir the contents well to spread the oil evenly.

Keep cooking until the water released from the vegetables is fully absorbed in the mixture on heat. After that, sprinkle some salt and black pepper if you want, and stir well.

Step # 04: Now, add the Poha to the mixture before taking the pan off the stove. Start mashing the entire mixture as soon as you take it off heat. I suggest you use a strong hand to mix and mash everything while it is still hot.

Step # 05: Once the mixture is fully mashed and smooth, take it in your hands to press it into a patty. After that, take a small bowl and whisk two eggs in it. Dip the patty in the egg and then transfer it to a bowl containing crumbs. After that, simply fry the patty on medium heat.

Step # 06: Transfer the buns to a heated pan to fry their faces lightly, and then smear some ketchup and mustard paste on them if you want. After that, put the fried patty on top of it and sprinkle it with lettuce and mayonnaise. Press the two buns together and enjoy!
